My girls are 9 and 11, one very computer savvy, the younger one just feeling a beginning comfort in the web world. What is frightening is that they catch on so fast and have no fear of the web world...unlike me, an older mom with some hesitation to explore this crazy technological world which has seemingly little sense of personal boundaries.
So, on a scale of 1 (web 2 huh) and 10 (web 2 guru), I would rate myself as a 3. This is the place that seems to me to reflect maintaining just enough exposure to be able to respond to the questions thrown at me with some semblance of knowing something, but not really knowing it. I get the computer, use it everyday for work, but once outside my comfort zone and into the web world, my discomfort climbs rapidly.
Yes, just staying ahead of my kids is all I'm trying to do!!
